Fashion for Tall Women

Posted by iBuysblogger on Monday May 10, 2010 Under Fashion

Women who are tall, that is 5′ 9” and above, have their own set of fashion issues just like shorter women. While the fashion industries uses unbelievable tall women to show their latest styles, the clothing that is actually in the stores are more for an average women. One would think that the stores would have the clothes like the designers made them for the models but, sadly, this is just not the case.

Swimming suits are a fashion problem many tall women face. This issue is more common when looking for a one piece swim suit. Most one piece swimming suits are only long enough for the average sized women’s torso. Tall women will find that with the awkwardness in the swimming suit is when the lower part comes up too high on the body or the upper part is too high or sometimes both the upper and the lower parts are totally disproportionate. Unless a woman just has long legs that make her tall, one piece can be a bit of a problem. It can be better to stick to the two piece on which at least won’t have the issues of an “ill-fitted garment”.

The biggest complaint, and most well known for tall women is the problem they face with their jeans and trousers. It is quite common that they struggle to find a proper and proportionate length for the style that are looking for or the waist line that they want to go for. This issue is very common in low and medium prices brands, yes, high end designer clothes will not have this issue as much as the lower end high street brands will have, but then, how many time would we go and buy a high end designer jeans and trousers.

In this day and age trousers and jeans have become a way of life for women and especially working women and why not, they are easy to handle and comfortable to wear. You don’t have to worry about the high wind or a bit of push up while you are at lunch or even in the office. With taller women, jeans and trousers are even more popular because to wear skirts there is a general feeling that you need to have “perfect legs”, although it is really hard to define what “perfect leg” is!

Some women don’t want to appear too tall and for those Cuffed trousers are a good deal, they will make a women’s height seem less. Cuffed trousers do shorten the look of the legs as a whole.

It is also very important to understand what fitting means and how it should look on you. Anything that has the required length and waist that suits your body is not always a well fit. You need to wear only that jeans or trouser that makes your lower body appear the way you want. If you want to reveal your figure then a tight fitting jeans can be the best buy for you, sometime you are in a profession where you want to present yourself in a mild manner and that is when a loose fit will be good, thus revealing only what you want to reveal and concealing the rest.

The length of your trousers or jeans is heavily dependent on the footwear that you are wearing. High heel shoes or footwear would require a slightly longer trouser length where as flat shoes would mean that you would not want to drag your trousers on the floor.

Jeans are good to control the length, you can fold them up a bit just to fit your required length and even that looks good. Jeans are casual though and it is not possible to fold up the trouser length when you are wearing formal wear.  An extra eighth of an inch can be added to the length of your trousers if the idea is to wear them with higher heels.

Cargo pants are one such design that suits a taller woman much better. They make you look wider and when you have the height you can carry that easily. Shorter women will look wide and thus shorter than what they are in Cargo trousers. There are some fashion perks to being tall.

Ultimately the most important thing that everyone should remember in fashion is that you should wear what you feel good in, feel comfortable in and can carry it easily. No fashion is worth doing if it leaves you uncomfortable and prevents you from enjoying the occasion you are in.

Basics of Make up on a Budget

Posted by iBuysblogger on Monday Apr 5, 2010 Under Fashion

When applied correctly make up should show off your natural beauty while hiding your flaws. This is why there are literally hundreds of products on the market aimed for women’s make up needs. Most of these products will cost too much if you are on a budget. The good news is that you can get the same results for much less and often even for free.

To get the sexy Smokey eyes you desire you can opt to use a carbon pencil which can cost much less then eye liners and pencils but give you the same long lasting effects. Apply it in a line just above and below the eyelash. Then, with a brush, blend the inner edges to make them lighter. Then put some extra in the corner of the eyes to finish off the look.

A method to quickly add some color to your cheeks is to pinch them. This is something that has been used since your great grandmother’s day as well as recently by makeup artist. Also you can get double duty out of your lipstick and foundation by combing a small amount of each together then blend on to your cheeks. It will also give you a more natural look.

Simply brushing your lips with an old toothbrush will give them volume and bring out their natural color. Then you can apply inexpensive Vaseline to give them shine and protection. Vaseline is also great for moisturizing your skin to give it a great glow as well as shaping unruly eyebrows.

One of the fastest ways to save money on makeup is to simply use less of it. You do not need to do a full make up job every day. If you are not going anywhere but the grocery stores a basic look will do. Also you can choose one feature each day to play up and then skimp on the rest. Right now the natural look is extremely popular which is great if you are on a budget. This means your every day look can be as simple as foundation, mascara and lip gloss. If you have a great complexion to start with, you can even skip the foundation.

If you have a drawer full of barely used products because after purchasing them you realized that they did not work as promised, you may want to look into getting samples before you purchase them. This is especially true for the more expensive items. You can search on the internet for the company’s website to see if they give away free samples. Most companies are more than happy to do this if they have a great product. This way you can see if the product is really worth the investment or if a cheaper version is just as good.

Shopping at stores that have easy going return policies is also a good idea. There are several stores that will allow you to return opened products that you are unsatisfied with if you do it within reasonable amount of time and there is ample product left. You can either get a refund or store credit. This will greatly reduce your product graveyard as well.
